I BE, Not I AM
‘I BE’
I BE light,
I BE dark,
I BE earth,
I BE nature,
I BE peace,
I BE soul,
I BE spirit,
I BE embodied,
I BE infinite,
I BE….. not I AM!
I am more than ‘I am’.
I find it difficult to explain to people who I am, for the labels I use seem irrelevant to who I truly BE. Yes, I am female. Yes, I am an aromatherapist. Yes, I am a nature witch. Yes, I am a Reiki Master. Yes, I am 52, but truth is, I am far greater than any label.
I BE rather than I AM is how I see me. I BE energy, I BE nature, I BE universally connected to all. Connecting to the energy of who I BE, evokes a sense of peace, of space and the gift of allowance for all of me.
When I BE, I am not constrained, I feel free to follow the energy rather than having to stick to the labels of I AM that create a solidity in my world that defines and confines me. This doesn’t mean I have my head in the clouds and live in a fantasy of just floating along, what it does mean is that I BE who I truly BE in this reality, no matter what people think or say. I am willing to step into the truth of ME, the authenticity of who I BE, to share my voice, to walk my path, to follow the energy of what brings me joy, rather than do what everyone else is doing or says I should do.
I still have challenges in my life, the times when I question what I am doing and yes, my mind can play experiences over and over as if in a game of ‘hey, do you remember when….’in a dance of fear and failure. But it is during those times I have come to realise that I have become disconnected from who I BE and have stepped into the confines of the label I AM.
When I find myself in the I AM of me, rather than the I BE, I step into nature for it is here that I let go of all the I AM’s and reconnect with the I BE. It is in the magic of nature, that I acknowledge that I am universally connected to all, and I tap into the energy of Mother Earth and all that is, and her gentle whispers brings me back to ME, to the space of who I BE.
No matter what works for you, the I AM or the I BE, know this; YOU are beautiful, unique, and a gift to the world and most importantly, you do not need to be anything other than who you choose to BE.
